Box of Hope

Box of Hope is a nonprofit born out of resilience, community, and the belief that no one should fight life’s hardest battles alone. Founded by leukemia survivor and Peachtree City mom, Megan Mulvey, the mission of Box of Hope is simple but powerful: to support CrossFit athletes and their families when cancer or other major life challenges strike.

Inspired by Megan’s own journey—51 rounds of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant—Box of Hope was created to transform hardship into hope. The organization provides financial assistance, emotional encouragement, and a strong community network so families can focus on healing instead of worrying about overwhelming expenses.

Box of Hope officially launches with its signature event, “51 for 51”, a community workout and fundraiser honoring Megan’s 51 chemo rounds and raising funds to help others in their fight. But this is just the beginning. With a vision of building a lasting support system, Box of Hope continues to grow initiatives like the Wall of Hope and Boxes of Gratitude, ensuring that hope spreads far beyond the gym walls.

At its heart, Box of Hope is about turning something terrible into something good—lifting each other up, sweating for a cause, and reminding families that they are never alone.

Mission Statement

Box of Hope exists to provide financial and emotional support to CrossFit athletes and their families facing cancer and other life altering challenges. Born from lived experience, our mission is to lift the weight of worry so families can focus on healing, connection and hope. Through community workouts, fundraising events and acts of gratitude, we transform hardship into strength and ensure that nobody fights alone.

Box of Hope was inspired by founder Megan Mulvey’s 51 rounds of chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant, turning her personal fight into a mission to support others. Every dollar raised goes directly toward helping CrossFit athletes and their families battling cancer and other life-altering challenges—whether through financial relief, encouragement, or community care. Our signature launch event, 51 for 51, is just the beginning, with ongoing programs like the Wall of Hope and Boxes of Gratitude designed to spread strength and support year-round. Whether you join us by sponsoring, volunteering, or simply showing up, you become part of a community proving that no one has to fight alone.
