CASA
Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children
Coweta CASA has been serving this area since 2005. We recruit, screen and train advocates for children experiencing foster care.
Our Mission
The Mission of Coweta CASA is to provide trained, qualified, court appointed volunteers to give children experiencing foster care a voice in court and advocate for their best interests in Coweta, Heard and Meriwether counties.
Our Values
Child-Centered: We value children above all else. Every child in foster care deserves a voice speaking up for their best interests, to ensure their rights are respected and they have a safe, loving, permanent home.
Family-Focused: We seek quality services for the entire family. We believe in prioritizing strengthened, reunified families. We believe in the value of sibling bonds and that siblings should remain together. We believe in utilizing extended family involvement to meet the best interests of children in foster care.
Inclusive: We believe families have diverse cultural experiences which should be recognized and respected. We believe that every individual has worth. We commit to empower each other with dignity and to seek equity.
Collaborative: We value working with our stakeholders, other professionals, community supports, and families to pursue sustainable improvements and quality change for children and families.
