The Summit Family YMCA is a non-profit community center in Newnan, GA, part of the YMCA of Metro Atlanta, dedicated to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility through a new LEED Gold-certified facility with pools, a fitness center, and a gym. It offers programs like swim lessons, day camps, group exercise, and youth sports, also providing financial assistance to ensure accessibility. The Y engages the community through outreach and volunteering initiatives, fostering a strong network of support for individuals and families in the Coweta County area. Though the world may be unpredictable, one thing remains certain – the Y is and always will be dedicated to building healthy, confident, secure and connected children, families, and communities.

Mission & Focus

Reflecting its Judeo-Christian heritage, the YMCA of Metro Atlanta is an association of volunteers, members, and staff, open to and serving all, with programs and services which build spirit, mind, and body. Financial assistance is available based on need. The YMCA actively seeks to identify and involve those in need.

Youth Development: Offers programs such as swim lessons, day camp, and after-school care, with a focus on school readiness and academic achievement.

Healthy Living: Provides a wellness center with cardio equipment and free weights, group exercise classes, aquatic facilities, and wellness coaching to help members reach their health goals.

Social Responsibility:
Partners with other local nonprofits for community assistance programs and hosts events like the Veterans Expo to support and connect the community.

The Summit Family YMCA features a modern, LEED Gold-certified facility with:

A competitive natatorium with an eight-lane lap pool and spectator seating.

Programs & Activities

Youth & Family Programs: Includes swim lessons, water safety classes, before and after-school programs, day camps, and a youth soccer league.

Fitness & Wellness: Offers group exercise classes, wellness coaching, and the Active Older Adults program for seniors.

Sports & Recreation: Features tennis and basketball programs, along with the successful Summit Family Y swim team.

Community Engagement
